In this guide, we’ll give you a High Level Overview of Kajabi so you can gain a better understanding of Kajabi concepts.
Every Kajabi account can be thought up of as individual building blocks that come together to form the foundation of your online business. Each piece serves a different function and they tie in together in many ways.
It’s important to to be able to grasp the conceptual aspects of the building blocks so you can completely understand how much power you have with Kajabi and what you’re able to accomplish.
Essentially, here’s what every Kajabi account boils down to:
- Sales Page
- Landing Pages
Your account encompasses everything in Kajabi and it’s the base that every other building block stacks on top of. It holds everything you need to manage your online business and it holds all of your information when you sign up for Kajabi.
Directly under your account is your Site (or Website). Your site is your home on the web. It holds your products, your landing pages, your people, your blog, your payment information, and everything else (don’t worry, we’ll get to those soon).
In essence, it acts as both your online hub and store. It’s where you’ll direct your visitors to learn more about you and buy from you.
Depending on your plan, you may have one or multiple sites. If you have multiple sites, you could in theory create different businesses (for example, you could have one site that’s based on your fitness niche and another site based on your social media niche). IMPORTANT There is no crossover between sites, which means all the products, landing pages, people, emails, etc. do not overlap.
Your products are the actual things of value that you’ll be selling. It’s where the magic of turning your existing content into online courses, video portals, membership sites, etc. happens!
Each product can also have its own unique design (via themes) which will dictate not only how it looks but how content is delivered.
In Kajabi, we want to give you complete flexibility over how you want to sell your products. So instead of directly selling a Product, you’re actually selling an Offer.
Offers are a vital building block of Kajabi so it’s something you should take time learning.
Here’s how it works:
Create an Offer and choose the type of payment you want to charge for it (payment plan, subscription, one-time payment, etc.).
Choose what product or products you want to add to that Offer.
When someone purchases that Offer, they get the product (or products) at the payment you chose for it… That’s it!
This way, you can come up with new, innovative ways to sell your products. For example, you could:
- A single product for a one-time payment
- Multiple products for a payment plan
- Several products for a subscription fee
- Really, the options are limitless with Offers!
Sales Pages are going to be the way in which you’ll show the world you have Offers for sale. It’s where you’ll add your sales video, copy, and the option to purchase.
Sales Pages act as building blocks because you can attach any number of Offers on them if you want.
For example, you could put two different Offers on one Sales Page which gives the prospect the ability to choose what Offer works for them.
One Offer could be a Payment Plan while the other could be a One-time Payment fee.
This puts the power in the hands of your customer by giving them more options and will result in more sales for you!
With Kajabi, you don’t need to get your own merchant account or payment provider. We integrate with Stripe to do that all for you!
It makes it so much easier for you to collect payments and it’s what unlocks all the power and flexibility you have to get paid for your content.
Best part is, once you integrate with Stripe, payment goes directly into your bank account each day!
You can think of the People building block as a built-in Customer Relationship Management system. Meaning, it stores the data of everyone who comes to your site and submits an opt-in form or purchases a product.
It can show you…
- Who is a customer and who is a Lead
- Email stats
- Course progress
- Payment Details
And much more
It’s a powerful tool for managing your users inside Kajabi so you can better serve them.
Forms are another important building blocks because it’s how you collect information. They are mainly used for capturing leads for your business, but you can get very creative with them and use them in a myriad of ways:
- Collect opt-ins
- Use it segment your audience based on their answer
- Create a quiz
Forms act as a building block because you stack them on your Landing Page, place them anywhere on your site and blog, or use them as a pop-up opt-in.
And all their information is stored into your Kajabi site!
Landing Pages are a very critical Kajabi building block as they’ll form the crux of your marketing efforts; you are also able to stack Forms on them. Essentially, Landing Page are standalone pages intended to drive a single objective: complete the call-to-action whatever it may be.
These are different from your normal website pages because they’re used to get people to convert; they are very important for raising awareness about what you do and ultimately getting people to buy from you.
There are many different uses of Kajabi Landing Pages, including:
- Collecting emails by offering Lead Magnets
- Running entire sales funnels
- Hosting webinars
- Extensive sales pages
Email is another essential building block because it’s how you’re going to communicate with your prospects and customers.
Kajabi comes with both email auto responders and email broadcasts; auto responders are emails that go out automatically each day after someone subscribes and broadcasts are one-time emails you can send to any of your People.
Here’s an example of a simple auto responder sequence you can set up in Kajabi:
- Create a lead magnet in exchange for an opt-in
- When someone gives you their email, you can put them on an auto responder sequence
- Your sequence can emails them each day and give valuable content to build trust
- You can do so much with Email so get creative! It’s going to be the main way for you to nurture your leads and turn them into paying customers.
While Kajabi has everything you need to run a successful online business, we also realize there are other tools that you want to use.
That’s why we’ve included built-in integrations with other powerful platforms to give you added flexibility, including a Zapier integration that connects Kajabi to over 500 different apps!
- Google Analytics
